Another New Layout

This one is about my favorite topic...Mickey!!

I actually made this last week and just never got around to getting a picture of it. I really love the photo that is matted in yellow. Check out his eyebrows in the close up!

Hee! They just get me every time! :D And his little pouty mouth in the photo matted in dark blue...

...melts me each and every time I see it!

Journaling (clockwise from far left) "Your eyebrows crack me up! So cute!" "I just love those cheeks and that pouty mouth!" "Ahhh, Little Man, You fought as long as you could but you conked out 15 minutes into our trip to Sutherlin. Not even the excitement of Barnyard Dance was able to keep you from losing your battle with sleep. Love, Mom"

I sanded the photos and the photo mats with a really rough grained sand paper that I swiped from DH's toolbox! :D

I Scrapped!

Whooo-hooo! I scrapped honeymoon pictures and it only took me three years! LOL!

Well, Jackie came over Saturday morning and I worked on a layout that I had started the night before. She started a really cute gift for her mom for Christmas. She is so getting an early start this year. Go Jackie!!! :D After Little Man went to bed, I finished all the embellishing and then completed my journaling this morning.
I cut around the edges of the circles with scissors to make my "scalloped edged" paper and cut the swirls out of a different sheet with my finger tip craft knife. Love that thing! I pulled up on some of the coils to give them a little oompf! The bird is a Quickutz die that I cut out of three sheets of cardstock and adhered on top of each other. I'm not huge on birds but I love the silhouette of the seagulls in the vertical picture and I wanted something for them. :)
I used my White Opal Ranger Liquid Pearls on the center of that little Prima and let it dry overnight.
The title is Quickutz with three sheets of cardstock, like the bird. I chose white for it so that it would almost melt into the background and at first glance it appears as white space. Oh, and the little orange button makes the third splash of orange with the two Primas.
The patterned paper and the chipboard are Creative Imaginations Vibe line. I wanted a really muted background so that my pictures would really stand out. They are actually some of the last film photos I ever took! Well, not counting a few disposable cameras. ;)

Thanks for checking it out!

I've lost 240 pounds!!!

Well, I've lost 15 and Andrew is gone fishing with my dad until Sunday! LOL! My friend Jackie is coming over Saturday morning and we are going to USE some of the goodies we bought last Saturday! I can't wait! :D

Here are some recent pictures just to give you all something fun to look at!

Little man eating lemons!

My lovely niece Claire playing with Mickey. :D
Hey now! Here's that 225 lbs I lost! LOL! :D

Andrew took this picture of me and I love how it turned out! Great job, baby!!!

Oh, and I have some more good news! My cousin Aaron and his wife, Jenny are pregnant!!! They are due around Valentine's Day. It's such a wonderful thing. Aaron's the oldest son of my Uncle Joe who recently passed away. Babies are such a wonderful and healing thing! :D

Ahhhh, Such a Good Time!

Jackie and I had such a good time shopping on Saturday! We went to Scrapbook Fever which is a great store and I spent waaaay too much! But, I got some lovely goodies! I bought the 7Gypsies ATG punch and it doesn't work!!! :( I have to drive Andrew down to Salem on Thursday so I think I'll stop by and see what they can do for me. I got some Making Memories stamps and this cool metal star that I'm going to alter. I love stars! :D

Then, we went to another scrapbook store that I can never remember the name of. Only got a few things there but, I did finally get Making Memories 5th Avenue Buttons and Blooms box! So excited about that one! :D Oh, and this stamp.

For $.99 I just couldn't resist that cute, little giraffe! After that store we went and had lunch at Sheri's and then we went to Craft Warehouse.

If you've never been to Craft Warehouse, you must go sometime. It is wonderful! We bought sooo much stuff and we actually made a lap around the store to put stuff back!!!! That will be the first place I go to once we buy a new house! Neat, neat stuff! :D I got some flock to try out, a couple more Stickles, some super cute paper and a metal plaque thing for my niece. It was her 18th b-day on Sunday and Andrew called me Saturday morning while Jackie and I were at Scrapbook Fever to ask me to make her something! Short notice but, it was an excuse to buy more so it's all good! Here's what I ended up making her.

It's a sign for her dorm room door. The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricut, the letters are Scenic Route, the flowers are Prima and the buttons are ones I bought at my LSS.

I glued the button/flowers onto magnets so people can stick notes up there for her when she's not in her room. :D

I also gave her one of those Ring Dex's I was telling you all about before. She can use it to keep track of assignments or class schedules or boy's names. ;) The flowers are Prima's and the brad is K & Co. I just love those brads!!! :D I also used some of the leftover paper from her name sign to decorate an RSVP pen. I love that paper! It's from the new Hello Sunshine line. So cute!

Look out, Salem...

...here comes Erica and Jackie!!!

Yep, Jackie and I are going scrap shopping on Saturday and I can hardly wait! We are hitting two local scrap stores and Paper Zone. We may even hit Craft Warehouse (I hope!), Jo-Ann's and Michael's. Andrew and Little Man are going to have to do without me on Saturday!

Momma needs a new pair of scissors!

Not really but you get my drift. :D

I know, I know...

...I've been ignoring you guys. Sorry! I'll try to be better after Father's Day. I've been really enjoying the family lately.

She graduated.

As did she.

(Yes, I know that I've got me some gorgeous nieces! :D )

She fell off her treadmill (the day after her 90th b-day) and dislocated her shoulder thereby completely ignoring my no family in the hospital demands. And, yes, she is where I get it from. And, if you have no idea what "it" I'm talking about that means you haven't met me in the flesh yet! LOL! :D

She's been getting some answers from the doctor's lately and they are sounding pretty darn good.

These two haven't found their new home yet and are getting pretty darn frustrated.

Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day! :D

Get Thee to an Office Supply Store!

And get yourself a RingDex!! I got one at Fred Meyer's (Kroger) and altered it. They are 3x5 index cards with a plastic cover on each side and two dividers inside, all attached with rings at the top. There were a bunch of colors but I got the clear one. :D

Here's the front. The flowers are Prima's from Mike's, the brad is K & Co., and the letter is Making Memories. It looks light blue in the picture but it's actually aqua.
One of the divider pages. I haven't figured out what exactly I'm going to use this book for but, I'm pretty sure grocery lists, scrapbooking ideas and to-do lists will end up living here. :D Oh! I may even try to make 3x5 calendar pages for this!
And, the back. More Mike's Prima's, the white one's are painted with Ranger Liquid Pearls. The pearl brad is from Creative Imaginations and I have know idea who makes the little silver doo-dads in the other flowers. :)

Oh, and the edges are painted with a silver paint pen I got on the same trip to the grocery store. I think that was a rather productive grocery trip, don't you?
:D

I've lost 11 pounds!!!

Yep, I have! I'm pretty happy about it, too. I've been walking briskly 30 minutes a day 6-7 days a week and eating better and eating less. And, shocker of all shocks, it works! LOL! :D

I started this new lifestyle (I hope that's what it will become) the last week of April weighing 170 pounds. Nope, not afraid to share my weight online. :D Anyway, after a week and a half of this I had GAINED THREE POUNDS!!!! Argh, 173! Well, I didn't give up like I normally would and kept on with my plan. A week after that I weighed 168...it's a weird, weird body I've got! LOL! I've been losing steadily ever since and last night I was 162!!! Whoo-hoo! Five more pounds and I'm back to the weight I was when I got pregnant with Mickey. 12 more pounds and I'll be at my comfortable weight.

Look out size 10 jeans...here I come!!! :D
