Love At First Sight!

Another recent favorite, this layout documents me getting to meet my newest great-niece, Riven! Isn't she beautiful? I seriously love her!

I made this layout from some left overs from a CKC class kit from a few years ago. It used the Nostalgia line from My Mind's Eye.

I used goodies from the class kit and some newer embellishments, like the wood veneer. I added the "3" sticker because she is my third great-niece.

The cute little flair are some sweet Studio Calico finds from my local scrap store. The enamal dots are from My Mind's Eye and Lily Bee Designs.

I used the stickers and flair to build my title along with letter stickers, something I don't normally do. I love how it turned out!

Journaling reads: "I finally met sweet little Riven when she was five weeks old. I'm so grateful that Rachael brought her out for a visit. She is such a beautiful baby and looks so much like Kevin! I was smitten at first sight!"

Lucky Me!

This has to be one of my favorite layouts that I've made recently. I love the topic, the picture, the products I used and how it turned out. It just makes me happy!

I used some gorgeous papers from Webster's Pages, Making Memories and Crate Paper.

I also used Studio Calico wood veneers, stickers from Webster's Pages, Lilly Bee, and Echo Park and brads and enamel dots from My Mind's Eye.

I also used three Project Life cards on this layout. Something I'd wanted to do but hadn't tried before. It turned out really cute!

The journaling reads: "Being home with you two gives me so many opportunities to have great days like these days where we just take off and hang out. Days where it doesn't matter what we do and where we go. Days where having fun is all we are concerned with. I am so lucky to have all these days with the two of you!"

More Baseball!

Here's some highlights from three more of the kiddo's games.

Mickey was so excited this game. He hit his first pitch every time at bat!

And, he never got out. :)

This was Audrey's second game and she did way better than her first!

It was also the first of her games that Mickey was able to go to but he was too tempted by the older boys and volunteered his football for a game.

Audrey made friends with a girl named Anna this game. We had to holler at her to pay attention a few times.

She got her first hit at her third at bat! Before that, she'd always hit off the tee. We were super proud of her!

She was also really into her fielding.

She told her coach, "I just want to get the ball!"

They had a great game and the other team was a lot of fun to play. They were really good and their coach was awesome, not only with his kids but ours too!

And then, last night, Mickey's team had a game.

Andrew was the third base coach the first inning.

Little Man played pitcher the first two innings. He caught a grounder and ran to home to get the runner from third out. Unfortunately, he needed to tag the runner because it wasn't a force out but he didn't know that. Once he figured that out he was really upset. His coaches got him calmed down and the game started up again. The very next hit was a grounder straight to his glove. He ran it to home and tagged out the runner! It was awesome, all the parents cheered like mad! His coach said, "Mickey, when you get home, you need to look up redemption in the dictionary."

His hitting wasn't as good as last game...

but his fielding was awesome! He played first base the third inning and got two runners out all on his own.

The Bulldogs won their game and cheered the other team, who was really great, too!

I'm really loving being a baseball mom. Especially to these two kiddos who are having so much fun!

Somedays...Everyday

Even though I made this layout last month, it really speaks to how I'm feeling today. So, I thought I'd share it now.

I used some scraps of my favorite My Mind's Eye paper and busted out those cute special hearts to use on it.

I also used up some Crate Paper stickers and added some new Heidi Swapp mist and my favorite little tool, the Tiny Attacher.

The journaling reads..."Somedays it's hard for me to leave my cocoon of a bed. Somedays I end up back here after getting you and your sister off to school. Somedays the memories of your accident overwhelms me and I suffer. Some days it's hard to keep going. But everyday it's worth it. Everyday I thank God that you are still here and He gave me my issues with PTSD instead of taking you. Everyday you are worth it!"

Yesterday was the third anniversary of Mickey's accident. The kids and I stayed at home and hung out. We played, they watched TV and I scrapbooked. It was a nice day. Today, not so much. Today, I'm suffering a bit. But, it's worth it. I love you, Little Man!

National Scrapbooking Day is Tomorrow!!!

National Scrapbooking Day is tomorrow! Yes! I love scrapbooking and lately it's taken a back seat as my kiddos (and I) get more involved in school and sports. I'm really looking forward to this weekend of scrappy awesomeness.

There are quite a few online events happening and here are a few that I'm hoping to partake in!

First up, Big Picture Classes has #NSD10K. Their goal is to get 10,000 scrapbook layouts posted to Instagram tomorrow. So, if you follow me on Instagram, keep your eyes peeled for layouts!

Big Picture Classes

They will have new videos with instruction and inspiration every hour for 10 hours! I'm looking forward to playing those while I scrap!

Another event that I'm going to be participating in is a set of challenges from my favorite online store, Scrap Happy Deals. It's a Facebook store run by my friend Kim Holmes and she's even got a forum group set up for her customers! It's on that group that she's posted a list of challenges that you can complete to be entered into prize drawings. (If you'd like to join, let me know. She's also got a referral contest!)

I'm also hoping to join in some of the challenges over at Studio Calico!

I took part in their World Card Making Day crop one year and won the random drawing! They've usually got some great challenges and always a great group of scrappers!

I'll probably also be checking out...
Scrapbook & Cards Today
Moxie Fab World
Paper Crafts Connection
Two Peas in a Bucket
Crate Paper
Silhouette

and watching videos from Paperclipping, Mercy Tiara and Glitter Girl! It's going to be scrap-tacular!!!

Are you going to scrap tomorrow?
