Girl Time

Hi, all! This is another one of my "I need to clean off my scrap desk/use up my scraps" layouts. Hee!

I used a kraft background on this one. It and white are my go-to backgrounds when I'm not using a patterned paper.

I also used one of my punches! I sometimes get out of the habit of using things and I love it when I "rediscover" them in my stash.

I think this is also the first layout that I'd used ribbon on in a long time. I used to use it on almost every layout but now it's a rarity. I'm glad I used it for this page and I'm going to try to get back into using it more often.

The other thing I used that was out of the ordinary were these gold glitter enamel dots. I don't know why, but I've never been too fond of them. But, with the glitter gold Thickers as a title, it just goes perfectly!

An Amazing Weekend!!!

I had such a fun time at CKC this weekend. I went Friday morning with my mom and we took an amazing card class together. It was so fun to spend time with her. She'd been gone for a few weeks and missed her like crazy!



I took her home in the afternoon (after much shopping!) and then went back to the convention for the crop. I made sure to take pics with a bunch of my CK friends.



Some pictures (and friends) a little crazier than others.  ;) Todd's a crazy one! Which is probably why we get along so well.



Some pics involved a few more takes than others.  Heh! I love taking pics with Megan. She and I are about the same height so there's no crouching needed on my part!



And I made sure to get one of me and Teri. We had an awesome time cropping together along with her friend Stephanie. :)



Saturday involved a few more classes. My first was with my friend Lynn. We didn't get kicked out of class for talking! We did have some of our fellow classmates cracking up though!

And, the $3.75 soda that I refilled like crazy once I learned that there were free refills. This was refill number six or seven!



And, sweet Kim! We were full on twins! Jeans, white shirts and mint cardigans were the outfit to be wearing that day!

Worth Every Mile!

Last month I packed up my car and drove all the way to Seattle for a one day crop. 

Now, I know what you're thinking, a five hour drive (one way!) for a one day crop?!?!?  Erica, are you nuts? 

Well, yes I am!  And, it's so worth it because I get scrap with a great group of girls who understand Washi addiction and know manufacturer names along with the names of those who design for them. 

Basically, we talk shop.  ;)

Oh, and I have coffee.  A very rare occurrence as I think this was my fourth coffee of the year.  It was sooooo yummy though!

And, this was the coolest part of the crop.  We clipped up all the layouts we made at the crop!  I loved getting to see every one's work.  These gals are seriously talented!!!

I'll post the layouts in the next few days.  (I just got a couple of them back from the fair.)
