Trendy Triangles Challenge!

While adding my link to the Camera Challenge at Moxie Fab World, I saw this inspiring image and knew that I had to take part in the Trendy Triangles Challenge, too!

Here is my take on the Trendy Triangles challenge!

Supplies Used: Cardstock-Georgia-Pacific, Vellum-Staples, Embossing Folder-Lifestyle Crafts, Ink-Tsukineko, Stamp-Papertrey Ink, Pens-Copic, Glitter Ink-SmoochGlitz, Other-Sewing machine & thread

I had embossed this vellum panel when I made my previous card and chose the chevron one instead. I colored some of the triangles with Copic markers and then painted over the colored triangles with SmoochGlitz in Frost to give them a little oomph!

These were the colors I used, just in case you were curious. :)

I stamped the sentiment with an ink pad my neighbor had given me! Thanks, Cindy!!! It worked perfectly with my card!

I used my sewing machine to attach the vellum and the sentiment to the card without having any adhesive show though. I did add a glue dot or two under the sentiment to keep the panel from flapping around too much. I love how this little card turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Joining the Clicking Cameras Challenge at Moxie Fab World!

I decided that some crafting was in order today and made this card to enter in the fun at the Moxie Fab World blog! The awesome Teri challenged us to create something using a camera themed product.

I've had this Vintage Camera die by Tim Holtz for a while now and finally got to break it in...and I love it! I was worried that it would look a little too rough/grungy but it's just perfect.

Supplies Used:  Cardstock-Bazzill, Vellum-Staples, Embossing Folder-Lifestyle Crafts, Patterned Paper-Cosmo Cricket, Die-Sizzix, Alphabet Stickers-American Crafts, Ink-Color Box, Pens-Sharpie, Faber Castell, & Marvy

I used some gold Thickers for the sentiment and also for most of the embellishment. The gold was a little brassy for my taste so I toned it down with cream ink. I cut up the more flourishy letters to tuck behind the camera and used some of the punctuation on the camera. This is a great way to use up some of those more uncommon letters.

I added more gold by outlining both the camera and the embossed vellum background. I also used my Spritzer to add some gold Sharpie mist to my camera.

I really enjoyed making this card and encourage you to take part in some of the fun challenges over at Moxie Fab World!
