New Year’s Eve Punky Party!

Hey there!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  It was a family filled one around here and that has always been my favorite kind.  :)

Today, the gals at Punky Sprouts are having a little New Year's Eve celebration to say goodbye to 2012 and hello to 2013!  Each of our designers has created a NYE themed project for you to enjoy along with a chance to win a Punky Prize Pack!

Here is my project.  It's a little box in which I will place my resolutions and goals for the upcoming year.

I used two Lil' Parchment Blossoms, a Lil' Lacy Blossom, some Lil' Twiney and a Lil' Canvas Stem to decorate my little project.

I embellished the smallest Blossom with Melissa Frances Glass Glitter in Tarnished Silver.  I used glitter Thickers in Bliss to add the date to my project.

Now for the fun part!  In order to enter to win, you must follow along with our little blog hop leaving a comment at each stop.  You could win a prize pack of an album of your choice along with Punky embellishments and a Lindy's mist!  Here's the order of blogs in case you get lost along the way.

Cabo!

Last month, my husband and I got to go to Cabo, Mexico for a work trip.  (Yeah, it's tough being a supportive wife!)
Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from that trip!

Lunch in old town.

Pelicans at sunset.

Another company was also at our hotel and they had a turtle release one night!

Kickin' it with my sparkly aqua toes and 2M's logo on the beach!!!

On the glass bottomed boat ride.

Our crew in New Town.

The arch!

The view from our hotel room.

My favorite part of the view.  ;)

A silversmith in Old Town.  His coworkers called me Barbie!

Me and the girls!  (I wore three dresses this trip.  It's unheard of, people!)

A virgin strawberry daiquiri, aka fruit smoothie, aka my breakfast!

Relaxing.

A new friend, aka a British fascinator, aka my favorite picture!!!

A last look at Cabo.

It was a wonderful six days but I was so glad to be home.  I hadn't seen my kids in over a week and I missed them like crazy!

CKC-Seattle

The first half of November was quite busy for me. I had a two day trip to Seattle for the Creating Keepsakes Convention, followed immediately by a six day trip to Cabo.

I headed up north to Seattle on the morning of the 8th, picking up some Punky Sprouts goodies from Shelly.  After leaving Shelly, I realized that I'd forgotten to fill up my tank in Oregon.  For those who may not know, you cannot pump your own gas in Oregon and in Washington, you have to.  Let's just say I appreciate this little luxury and as such, I've never pumped my own gas on my own before.  I've had friends walk me through it, flirted with gas station attendants to have them do or begged random strangers for help.  This day, I pumped my own gas, all by myself.  I was dancing as I walked into the gas station to get my receipt!  :)

I cruised up I-5 and made fairly decent time to arrive at the Hilton where I'd be staying with my friend, Joscie.  She and I both loved their elevators!

Our friend Noel was already at the hotel (I could hear her and Joscie laughing through the door) and the three of us made our way to A-Muse Stamps.  Joscie hooked us up with a guided tour from Vanessa, who was super sweet!  The four of us had a wonderful lunch afterwards.

Here's Joscie, Noel and I.  Can you tell we love aqua?  ;)

Some colorful A-Muse goodies!

Noel, with a few appropriate stamp sets.  ;)

Joscie and I had signed up for the Thursday Technique crop so we headed back that way.  We made sure to sit in the back so our giggling and chatting wouldn't bug anyone.

We got our picture taken by some of the CKC staff.  CKC has the greatest crew!

I signed up for another class because she had a bunch that she had signed up for and I'm so glad I did.  This one was a lot of fun and I really loved the products used in it.

After class, I went shopping a little more and then met up with Joscie for one last goodbye photo.

Then, it was off to teach a class for Punky Sprouts.  I had great students in that class and even ended up taking the (school bus) shuttle back to the hotel with some of them.

After two awesome days, I had to hop back in my car and drive right back home.  I finally pulled into my driveway at 11:45 pm.  Crazy, but so worth it!!!

Pumpkin Carving!

At Mickey's school they held a Family Pumpkin Carving Night.  It's a fund raiser put on by the PTA for the 6th grade class, they sell pumpkins at the event.  As I'm now a PTA member (squeee!!!) I volunteered to help set up.  Here are some of the pics from the set up.

Our PTA president!

Ready for carvers!

Aud was my little helper.  She put the orange bowls on each table.

The event!  We arrived a bit later in the evening so it wasn't quite as crowded.

Mickey drew his face on his pumpkin!

The guts!  We saved them for a parent who wanted them for his goat.  I'm not sure if our goat, Cleatus would have liked that.  ;)

The yummy donuts!  There were a ton left and Audrey did her best to help them out.  I think that girl had four at least!

My little ones and their pumpkins. Note the donut in Miss Thing's hand!

And a shot with Daddy.

The finished product!

I really enjoyed this pumpkin carving night.  Not only was it for a good cause, but I had very little clean up.  Win!!!  LOL!

He's Six!!!

My little miracle man, Mickey, is six years old! His birthday was this weekend but as I got strep throat, we had to move his party back a week. Needless to say, he was a tad disappointed! He's such a sweetie that he forgave me quickly though. He even talked his dad into buying me my favorite chips at the store when they were there getting more rice and cottage cheese for the also sick dog. (Yeah, it was a great weekend at our house. :::eyeroll::: ) I love that little boy so much!

Here are some of my favorite recent layouts featuring...Little Man!!!

And, here's the front of the invite for his birthday this year.  I made it with pictures of six of his favorite things right now.  Angry Birds, pizza, Transformers (specifically Bumblebee), Hot Wheels, Star Wars (we're watching the movies together), and Legos are a few of his favorite things right now.  He's also really big into sports (just like Daddy!) and super heros!

He's also doing really well in school and loving it, too!  I help out once a week or so in his class and he works so hard in class and understands so much, it makes me so happy!  He's really into trying to read and I can hear him in the back seat of the car sometimes, sounding out the words to his latest library book.

Happy Birthday, Mickey!  I love you so much!!!
