Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all have a wonderful, food-filled Thanksgiving!

I'm excited because we are only having TWO of them this year! LOL!

Baby Updates

~We had our ultrasound yesterday.
~Everything went well.
~I have a love/hate relationship with ultrasounds
~Love to see my baby early
~Hate the torture of the full bladder
~I was 19 weeks and 4 days yesterday and the baby sized at 19 weeks 5 days
~I put away my regular pants on the 15th. Hello maternity clothes!
~I seriously need 2-3 more maternity tops
~All those shorts/capris/tank tops from my October baby pregnancy are so not cutting it with this April baby!
~The results (boy/girl) of our ultrasound are sitting sealed in their envelope on the mantel.
~I'm actually cool with it and not dying to rip it open
~I have a feeling this will change as we get closer to Christmas Eve morning
~Speaking of feelings, I've been feeling this little one moving for a few weeks now.
~Oh, and no real specific cravings this time around.
~I really need to take some belly pictures!
~Speaking of pictures...
This one is my favorite. It's a top view and it looks like the baby is giving me a hug. :)

A cute little profile shot with a little hand peeking up.

Another profile shot with an open mouth. Yawning, maybe?

Ahhh, the foot shot. I love baby feet! :D

I did get two more shots. One is the slightly scary alien skull face. (We'll skip that one, okay?) The other is the all important he/she shot! I'll share that one after Christmas! :D

More Christmas Goodness

I've got a few quick and easy Christmas projects to show you! First up is an altered notebook to hold all my gift ideas and such. It's very small (3 1/4" x 4 1/2") so it fits inside my purse easily and it took hardly any time at all to decorate.

The paper, chipboard accent on the front and sticker on the back are all Sandylion.

I also used a little paint around the edges. I think I used one of my Ranger paint daubers. Love those things!
Next up is a cute decorated envelope. Now, you all can use yours for gussying up that special Christmas card. Our envelope has a very important job this year.

We are having our all-important ultrasound this Monday. I'm bringing this in with me and asking to have the tech put boy or girl and any tell-tale pictures in it. Then, Andrew and I will open it the morning of Christmas Eve.

It will be our very special Christmas present. :D

Also, we can be sure that over the next few days we will tell all the family without missing anyone! LOL!!

Oh, and the envelope is Stampin' Up!, the paper is more of the Sandylion stuff and the chipboard is also Sandylion. I picked a kraft colored envelope so that peeking would not be an option! ;)

Wait...I scrapbooked?!?!?!?

Why, yes. Yes, I did!!!

Ahhh, a messy scrap area is such a lovely sight! I pulled out my Christmas stuff to make a Daily December Album ala Ali Edwards.

Here's my selection of papers after they have been cut to size. I ended up going with a 5" x 7 1/2" size.

Here's the ready to be completed book!
I've only decorated the front cover inside and out. The rest will get done as I add the pictures and journaling.
I know Ali's idea is to have that all done beforehand. But, the stress of having to work around something that I'd already adhered down is worse for me than having to add the numbers and embellies as I go. And Ali's really just all about getting it done with less stress.

I love this velvet flocked paper from Making Memories!

The backs of the die cut and specialty papers will either end up being covered with photos/embellies or painted. Or a little of both. :)

The page on the right is actually clear. I just haven't taken the protective cover off it yet.

This red, cream and blue paper on the left is the back of that great red and cream paper above. I'll either cover it completely with photos or paint it. I'm looking forward to messing around with those baseball card dived page protector that I cut down to size.
That embossed page on the right is actually cream. I love it!

I did include one kraft colored envelope and I'll add more as I go if they're needed.

Another clear page with the protective sheets still on. :)
My other favorite paper is that Making Memories St. Nick Heritage Collage. (I know the name of it because I've been desperately googling it trying to find more online. Sigh, 'tis not to be.)

Are you doing a journal like this for Christmas? :D

Our House...

...is a very, very, very fine house! LOL!!!

And yes, now I've got that song stuck in my head. Anyway, here are some shots of our oh so empty yet perfectly staged home. Well, as perfectly staged as a ton of HGTV watching and no discernible design skills can make it. ;)

The kitchen.

The bathroom.

Here's my former scrap room. Sigh, I miss it so! :) Now, it's just an office.

A lot of my scrap supplies are stashed in this lovely garage sale find. Best $25.00 I ever spent!

In the back of this picture you can see the tops of my cubes where the rest of my scrappin' goodies are. This is the view as you walk in the front door.

And, the front door itself. :)

And here is our master bedroom. (I've got some scrapbooking stuff stashed under the bed!)

Our enormous backyard. Our lot is over a quarter of an acre.

So, if you know someone who wants to buy a house in Canby, send them my way and I'll pass on some more details. :D

A Few Halloween Shots

We started out at my mom's house. Mickey had a great time showing off his lion costume. He wasn't terribly fond of the hood though. :)

My favorite part was the tail. So stinkin' cute!

Showing the perfect lion stalk while roaring. He's such a ham.

His costume was great but it was a tad bit small. Not sure if he had a growth spurt after we picked it up at Costco or what but, I got the 3t-4t size so it should have fit. You can see in this picture that we couldn't even zip it all the way.
After my mom's we headed to Granny's. Mickey seriously loves his Great-Grandma (gran), he'll cry if we drive past her retirement village without stopping. It's sweet but sad to hear him in the back crying "Gran, gran!"
Our last stop for the evening was my dad's house. Mickey finally found a doorbell he could reach. Buttons are huge for this little dude.

And, here he is giving his Grandpa Mickey a big kiss.

While we didn't get to go to a lot of houses, it was still a wonderful break from all the work on our house we'd been doing.

Where I've been this week...

Well, we found that house we liked and we made an offer on Monday. We got turned down on Tuesday because our offer was contingent on the sale of our home. So, we've been working like demons to get this place ready to put on the market.

We're putting it up for sale Monday morning!

Hopefully, I'll be able to get some sleep now. I've been doing nothing but work on this house and when I try to sleep all I do is think about what needs to be done. ARGH!!!

Oh! We did take little man to my mom's, granny's and my dad's on Halloween and one of his cousins stopped by.

Anyway, I'll post some pics of our house and maybe a few Halloween ones soon. Right now, I've got to get started on a flyer so my Granny can take it to coffee in the morning.

Sigh. So much for sleep!
